Job Description
Calgary French & International School LEAD
Language Program is currently seeking a MANDARIN INSTRUCTOR to teach
credit-free MANDARIN classes to a group of children. Our classes generally
take place on Saturday mornings at our brand-new state-of-the-art
facility in Cougar Ridge in SW Calgary. Besides teaching, the duties
also include a faculty meeting per session, providing a course outline,
keeping track of attendance and administering an evaluation questionnaire
to the students/parents.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should:
- have native or native-like fluency in Mandarin
- have a B.Ed. or equivalent
- have at least 3 years experience in teaching Mandarin to children
in a classroom environment
- have an excellent knowledge of grammar (Mandarin and English)
and of chinese cultures
- be highly-motivated, patient, enthusiastic and approachable
- be used to working with children

generally take place on weekday evenings or on Saturday mornings
at our brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Cougar Ridge in SW
Calgary. Besides teaching a 30-hour course, the duties also include
a faculty meeting per session, providing a course outline based
on a textbook, keeping track of attendance and administering an
evaluation questionnaire to the students.
