Interested individuals are requested to submit a Board application form, along with a short biography or résumé.  Please contact the Board Secretary to receive an application package. All applications must be received by mid-October each year. Successful candidates will be notified and requested to attend the Endowment’s Annual General & Special Meeting in November for election.

About CFIS : Governance - Call for Committee Members

The CFIS Boards arealways looking for new members to join these committees.

If you are passionate about making fundraising and giving an improved, streamlined process for our school and parent volunteers, we need you! The ability to be objective, analytical and focused on improvement would be a great asset to either of these committees. If you have any special skills in the areas of implementing process improvements, community relations, fundraising, volunteering or proposal writing, and would like a challenge, please consider joining.

CFIS ADVANCEMENT SOCIETY

TheCFIS Advancement Society of provides for bursaries, awards and scholarships in addition to undertaking the major fundraising activities of the School.

CFIS Advancement Society Directors may sit on the board for terms of one and two years, beginning in November each year (as positions are available). Candidates with expertise in the areas of marketing, fundraising, finance and accounting procedures for non-profit organizations are required. All Directors are volunteers and are required to sit on at least one committee, and attend regular meetings and the AGM. A time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours a month is necessary.

All Directors are volunteers and are required to sit on at least one committee, and attend regular meetings and the AGM. A time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours a month is necessary.

Our Mission: To advance the development of language learning by connecting cultures, innovation, enrichment, and partnerships.

Our Vision: Expanding the boundaries of language learning.

CILF Directors may sit on the board for terms of one and two years, beginning in November each year (as positions are available). Candidates with expertise in the areas of asset management, capital campaigns, and finance and accounting procedures for non-profit organizations are required. All Directors are volunteers and are required to attend quarterly meetings and the AGM. A time commitment of approximately 5 hours a month is necessary.

FUND DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
CFIS Advancement Society

This committee will play a vital role to ensure that Calgary French & International School's fundraising goals are achieved and that the present and future relationships with current and potential donors are cultivated and maintained. Some of the responsibilities of this committee will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying sources of revenues
  • Developing fundraising strategies
  • Preparing grant proposals
  • Implementation of fundraising policy
  • Overseeing fundraising events
  • Creating donor recognition programs

A time commitment of approximately 5 hours per month is required. Depending upon each committee's activities at certain times of the year, more may be needed and expected.
