January 2009 --- NEWALTA Corporation and ICTC step up to the plate to help CFIS Science… Who’s next?
Seeing that we’ve only moved into our new science laboratories this year and are in the process
of building new courses, both junior and senior high labs need new equipment. Thankfully, we
were able to obtain some of this with the generous and important help of Mr. Craig Wilkie of
NEWALTA corporation and Dan Skibinski from ICTC. Together, they donated $6,000 to the
science department. These funds were used to supplement our labs for chemistry, biology and
grade 9 science courses.
NEWALTA is a Canadian company that deals with chemical recycling. They find innovative
methods to manage waste. ICTC also belongs to the chemical industry by breaking new ground
in chemical technological research.
We thank NEWALTA Corporation and ICTC for their benevolent generosity in aiding us to make
our labs truly contemporary and state of the art.
Nov08 --- We surpassed last year’s UNICEF donations - our UNICEF total for this year is $8142.74.
