The CFIS Senior High programme commenced in September 2007.
The Senior
High Facility is complete and programme development is underway.
CFIS offered Grade 10 in September 2007/2008 with expansion to Grades 11 & 12 taking place in the subsequent two years. By 2010, we will have our first Grade 12 graduating class. For more information about our future High School programme, please contact Contact Us.
Throughout the past few years, a dialogue has been taking place regarding
the programme. Many stakeholders have contributed what they envision
for the Senior High programme. We are now ready to present the vision
of our CFIS Senior High programme to potential families of our Senior
High School.
This post-secondary preparation program offers only the 10-20-30
sequence of courses and will compliment the math-science orientation
with other courses that lead directly to university or certain post-secondary
programs in colleges and technical schools.
By focusing on the importance of possessing cultural awareness,
students graduate with 3 languages (their immersion language, English
and one other language, either French or Spanish). They will also
be encouraged to develop in a balanced manner including courses
to supplement their academics, sports and leisure, arts, and people
skills.
