Lunch and Milk Programs (ongoing)
Contact the Cafeteria Manager if you are new to the school and require the order form for this program.

SPECIAL LUNCH Days
Special lunchs occur monthly throughout the school year. This fundraising programme, which runs from October to May, is coordinated by parent volunteers and offers students a special "Pizza Day" treat.

Special lunches must be pre-ordered (forms are usually distributed late September). Please contact the Cafeteria Manager for an order form. The tentative special lunch days for 2007/2008 are (to be confirmed):

The CFIS Cafeteria offers a number of valuable services to students and staff throughout the school year. Additional charges apply for these services. Please refer to the specific program forms for cost details.

Hot Lunch Programme

The CFIS Cafeteria provides a nutritious and inexpensive "pre-order" hot lunch programme for students in Grades 1 - 10. Menus and order forms are distributed on a monthly basis. Parents must register children for this pre-paid program one month in advance by forms sent home with students.

Our menu plans offer students and staff the choice of an entrée, beverage and a variety of desserts. Entrees range from burgers, pastas and sandwiches and come in half or full sizes to suit your child’s appetite.

A small lunch concession of affordable sandwiches, beverages, etc. is available for Junior High students and staff only.

Milk Program

A milk program is available for students attending half-day Child Care, ECS full-day, Elementary, Junior High and Senior High. Refer to the Milk Program form for the yearly cost per student. Forms are distributed via school mail or available at the school office.

Skim milk, 2%, and chocolate milk are available. Students registered for the program receive their milk every school day from early September to mid-June.

Facilities Information

Elementary / Junior High Cafeteria
Our fully functioning dining facility in our Elementary / Junior High school accommodates up to 175 people.

The kitchen is geared toward preparations for students and events with its range of equipment including stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, and a storage room to provide warm meals.

Our dining hall can also be readily re-configured from a servery area to accommodate a variety of events from competitive and recreational sporting activities, theatrical and musical performances to lectures and presentations.

Senior High Cafeteria
Our Senior High cafeteria will provide the same amenities and services as our Elementary / Junior High Cafeteria and accommodate up to 190 people. This cafeteria will be open when the CFIS Senior High School Programme starts.

Special Services

Birthday Cupcakes
“Cupcakes for Kids” is a go! If you would like to order cupcakes for your child’s birthday and have them delivered to his / her class for a cost of $20 give Cathy Rivard a call at 240-1500 (ext. 108). We require one week’s notice for each order. Please make your cheque payable to Calgary French & International School.

After-School Concession
The after-school cafeteria concession runs throughout the school year starting mid-September through mid-June. Baked goods, beverages, granola bars, fruit etc. will be available.
