Opening Doors to French Immersion

Our Embark transitional French immersion program is designed specifically for students entering Grades 1 to 4 and Grade 7 who are new to French language education. Students in the Embark program are part of CFIS' full French immersion learning environment and receive additional French language support to ensure their success in working towards mastery of the language.

The Embark program ensures dedicated staff to Embark students for two years. This extra support allows students to learn alongside their peers while developing their French language speaking, comprehension and writing skills. By their third year at CFIS, students easily and confidently learn with their classmates to continue their full French immersion education here.
