We couldn’t be more excited to have Adriana Zhang sit down with our staff and students for Inside Education on CTV News! We were grateful to share how the elementary French immersion program at CFIS answers two of the most burning questions parents often have about their young children:

As Calgary French and International School approaches its 55th birthday this year, CTV news focussed their lens on the approach to education that we’ve refined through the years to help foster a strong, healthy development for students. In four segments, key areas of our elementary are explored:

• Tailored Learning for Every Level

• The Embark Program

• IB Programme Preparation
  The third clip in our lineup from the link above dives into how students are encouraged to be curious, ask questions, and understand the world beyond their own experience in their International Baccalaureate journey. At CFIS, this is all about making connections and seeing how things fit together in this interconnected world. 

• Instead of just memorizing facts, IB students build their own understanding and become independent problem-solvers. We complement and enrich the IB Programme with our full French immersion setting including experiences that take learning outside of the classroom. 
   
• It sets the foundation for success in the three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes offered at CFIS: IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
   
• Day-to-Day Enrichment
