Kindergarten Journey Continues

Kindergarten Journey Continues

The Kindergarten hallways and gymnasium were filled with excitement and pride as our young learners celebrated the culmination of a wonderful year. It was a special opportunity for families, students, and staff to come together and reflect on a year marked by growth, curiosity, and connection.

The afternoon began with meaningful classroom activities. Families joined students to admire recent work, spend time together, and take part in interactive games.

To celebrate their growth as international learners, families explored slideshows featuring student photos alongside PYP learner profile attributes chosen to reflect each child's unique strengths and development throughout the year. Some examples included Inquirers / Investigateurs, Risk-takers / Audacieux, Principled / Intègres, and Communicators / Communicateurs. Together, these attributes painted a picture of who the students are becoming as learners and members of their community.

The formal ceremony began shortly afterward in the Primary Gym with a warm welcome and opening remarks from members of our Early Childhood and Primary teams. The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly the students themselves, who stood proudly together on the bleachers to perform a heartfelt rendition of With My Own Two Hands.

To close the ceremony, Kindergarten students were welcomed into Primary through a tunnel created by Grade 4 Student Council members. This moment symbolized the connections across divisions at CFIS and the shared journey of learning that continues as students grow.

The celebration concluded back in the classrooms, where students, teachers, and families mingled, capturing memories at the "Au revoir la maternelle!" photo booth, and enjoyed juice and cupcakes together.

It was a memorable afternoon that beautifully captured the supportive, caring, and connected spirit of the CFIS community while celebrating a meaningful milestone in our students' learning journey.
