Together We Celebrate & We Grow

As if the energy of the last day of school wasn't enough, the final day of the 2025–26 school year was made even more memorable as our community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of CFIS's new building.

Students flooded the field with excitement in their Vesti-Stampede attire, ready to embrace the adventures, rest, and fun that summer brings. It was a fitting way to close a year filled with learning, growth, friendship, discovery, and countless memorable experiences.

The groundbreaking ceremony offered an opportunity not only to celebrate the end of another successful school year, but also to look ahead to an exciting new chapter for CFIS. As shovels turned the first soil, students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, Board members, and project partners gathered to mark a milestone that will benefit generations of learners to come. Music and bubbles filled the air as students donned hard hats, grabbed shovels, and eagerly joined in the celebration. For many, the highlight of the day was the chance to dig, play, and explore the dirt pile that symbolized the exciting changes ahead.

In her remarks, Head of School Nikki Camirand reflected on the significance of the moment, noting that, “Today, we build the future, together.” She also recognized the many individuals and organizations whose vision, expertise, and collaboration helped bring the project to life, including the CFIS Society Board, Colliers, GGA, and Buttcon. Special thanks were also extended to the CFIS Society Board and Board Renovation and Expansion Task Force, whose leadership and stewardship helped guide the project from vision to reality.

While this year was momentous for many reasons, what continues to make CFIS truly special is the strength of its community. This new expansion represents much more than additional space. With eight new classrooms and a dedicated Movement and Performing Arts Centre, it will create new opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection for generations of students. It is also the result of many years of philanthropic support, generosity, vision, and dedication from families, donors, volunteers, and community members who believe in the future of our school.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed their ideas, time, resources, and enthusiasm throughout this journey. From supporting our youngest learners to celebrating our graduates, CFIS is a community that grows together, learns together, and supports one another every step of the way.

As we look toward the future, we are excited for the new opportunities, connections, and memories this expansion will create. Thank you for being part of this remarkable community and for helping shape the next chapter of the CFIS story.
