Fest’hiver Spirit in Full Swing

Fest’hiver was a joyful celebration of creativity, culture, and community spirit and what an evening it was! With over 300 members of our CFIS community in attendance, the school was buzzing with excitement from start to finish.

The event officially kicked off in the Elementary Gym with lively performances from our choir, stage band, and musical performers, setting a festive tone for the evening.

Following the performances, families flowed throughout the school to take part in a wide variety of activities. Classrooms opened their doors for interactive workshops and creative crafts, with students and parents working side-by-side on winter-themed projects. The workshops were incredibly well attended, with rooms buzzing with creativity and conversation throughout the evening.

In the gym, the space transformed for floor curling, where students and families enjoyed some friendly competition. Down the hall, the Scholastic Book Fair welcomed a steady stream of eager readers, while the Fest’hiver Market drew strong interest from families exploring the different offerings. Outside, tire sur la neige was a favourite stop of the evening, with many families gathering to enjoy this sweet winter tradition together.

We also loved seeing so many students and families participating in Vest’hiver, showcasing glittery snowflakes, cozy sweaters, cultural attire, Lunar New Year-inspired accents, and plenty of plaid and Canadiana flair. The creativity and pride on display truly reflected the diversity and warmth of our community.
