Grade 5 Competes in Génies en Herbe

Grade 5 Competes in Génies en Herbe

Six of our Grade 5 students recently represented CFIS at Génies en Herbe, a francophone competition that brings together students from French-speaking schools across Calgary and the surrounding region.

Congratulations to Emily C., Anna C., Everleigh K., Alex P., Eden L., and Valentina I. for taking part in this exciting experience. Génies en Herbe is a team-based competition that tests students’ general knowledge across a wide range of subjects. Combining the joy of learning with the excitement of friendly competition, the event encourages participants to think critically, work collaboratively, and respond confidently under pressure.

For our students, it was a wonderful opportunity to engage in French in a meaningful and dynamic way while connecting with peers from other francophone schools. Activities like this help strengthen language skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of community among young learners.

We are proud of our Grade 5 students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to take on this exciting challenge. Their participation reflects both their curiosity and their commitment to learning, and we congratulate them on representing CFIS so well.
