Whether you’re new to CFIS or a returning family, the Welcome Back BBQ was a perfect reminder of what makes our community so special: gathering, reconnecting, and creating new friendships. More than 1,300 members of the CFIS family enjoyed a relaxed evening sharing food, laughter, and time together.
Children lingered until sundown, sprawled on picnic blankets and enjoying the playground long after the official event ended. Inside the newly refurbished elementary gymnasium, guests caught a live feed of delighted little dancers on the big screen, while the CFIS team served food and smiles, reinforcing the spirit of connection.
Families also had the chance to pick up their new yearbooks, browse the used uniform sale, purchase our student-made honey, and chat about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
It was a simple, joyful evening; a first of many memorable moments to come this school year. We are grateful to all who made the BBQ possible and look forward to the friendships and connections that will continue to grow in the months ahead.
