The energy in the gymnasium was vibrant as Grade 1 through Grade 5 students gathered for our very first Primary School assembly of the 2026-2027 school year!
Beyond sharing the exciting upcoming news about our campus expansion, the assembly served as a wonderful moment to unite as a community and honor our students' remarkable summer accomplishments.
We proudly recognized Max F. for earning an Honorable Mention in the Thales Mathematica Contest, alongside MaryAnne O. and Alexander W., who traveled to Ottawa to represent CFIS at the Canada Super Spelling Bee. We also highlighted Grade 5 student Ryder M., who represented our school with confidence, curiosity, and boundless enthusiasm as a Calgary Stampede Junior Reporter.
During this assembly, we highlighted our monthly student recognition ribbons for the year ahead: Je parle français (taking risks and making the effort to speak French), Le cœur d’or (being a good friend and helping others), and our Je suis attributes. Anchored in the IB Learner Profile, September’s focus centers on being open-minded (ouvert d’esprit).
Thank you to all of our Primary students for their spirited participation. We look forward to seeing what this new school year brings you!
