Calgary French & International School students are diverse and unique, demonstrating many varied talents and skills. Our students are able to work cooperatively, capable of managing strong academic programming, enthusiastic and willing to give their best efforts in all areas. Our students are compassionate, respectful and empathetic to others.

Our philosophy is that homework is meant to reinforce and support the learning that is occurring at school. As such, our students will be capable of completing their homework independently, and assigned homework will be of this nature. Support from teachers and our team of learning strategists is available, if this is not the case, during school hours.

In our entry-level grades, preschool, junior kindergarten and kindergarten, no previous experience in French is required.

Starting in Grade 1, and for intake up to Grade 12, all students must be attending a French or French immersion environment, or be native French speakers, to make an application to attend CFIS.
