CFIS Alumni Insights: Lessons Learnt, Best Yet & What's Next

This CFIS Alumni Spotlight shines on Elisabeth Haynes '17, who shares her insights on her current endeavours and reflections on her time at CFIS. 

Currently based in Ottawa, Elisabeth is on track to complete her undergraduate studies in Accounting at the University of Ottawa, with a projected graduation in December 2021 due to her participation in the Co-op program, extending her undergraduate tenure by one semester. Post-graduation, Elisabeth looks forward to pursuing a Master's in Accounting, aiming for her CPA designation. To help along her career path, Elisabeth secured placements at two accounting firms for her co-op work terms. This culminated in a full-time job offer from Deloitte, set to begin in January 2022.

Reflecting on her time at CFIS, Elisabeth imparts a valuable lesson, 'One of the most profound lessons I learned from CFIS is the importance of trying new things. You never know what you might enjoy until you take that leap of faith and try.'
