Pete Emmes

Raised in Calgary with a strong entrepreneurial appetite, Pete Emmes (Class of '87) has always been driven to explore new opportunities and passions. After earning his B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from Western University, Pete ventured into the energy sector as an analyst in Calgary.

Pete's passion for music and his career as a DJ, propelled him to travel across Canada and the world! Building on this success, Pete transitioned into entrepreneurship, investing in multiple bars, restaurants, and venues in Calgary and Edmonton.

Amidst his bustling career, Pete maintained a keen interest in financial markets. He began managing his own and his family's portfolios, eventually exploring wealth management by enrolling in the Canadian Securities Courses. 

Beyond his professional endeavours, Pete prioritizes work-life balance. He finds joy in music, cooking, hockey, tennis, snowboarding, and, above all, spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. Additionally, Pete is passionate about giving back to the community and dedicates his time to volunteering for various charities and mentorship programs at the University of Calgary.
