Thank you to the Newsies cast, crew, orchestra, and volunteers!

Our school’s 10th annual musical theatre production—Newsies, The Broadway Musical—was a magical experience! Our student actors, singers, dancers, and musicians together transported the audience to New York City in 1918. Their performances were the culmination of months of hard work, by over half of the Secondary Division’s students, both on the stage and behind the scenes, as well as the efforts of their teacher and parent volunteers. (Click on "Read more" at the bottom left to see M. Mousseau's full blog.)

People who had not seen a CFIS musical before were nothing short of astonished by every aspect of the production. Many found it almost impossible to believe that the performers were high school students and not seasoned actors with years of experience. Her Honour Lois E. Mitchell, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, was a special guest at Friday afternoon’s performance, and gave it an eleven out of ten!

I offer a heartfelt thank you, to the students, staff, parents, and audience members who together were part of this amazing annual community undertaking.
