Join us at one of our Fall Open Houses, EXPLORE CFIS, on October 25th — for families and students already attending CFIS, and those considering joining our school community!
With morning and afternoon events and division-level sessions to choose from, you will have ample opportunity to learn about CFIS student experiences in our full French immersion environment. Get insights into the benefits of experiential education and second-language learning from our experts in multilingual education.
Families in our Early Childhood and Elementary Divisions will learn how CFIS students progress through the grades as they take part in a tour with our student ambassadors and then get your specific questions answered from our team of educators. Learn more about early and elementary learning at CFIS for kids in Junior Preschool to Grade 5, including our transitional immersion program, Embark.
Grade 6-12 students and their parents will have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of our campus and hear directly from students in our Secondary Division about their experiences in CFIS experiential travel studies, student-led clubs, athletics, Musical and International Baccalaureate options.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to attend both the morning and evening sessions?
A: There is no need to attend both sessions. While the morning session will be during school hours and allow you to experience the energy of a school day, the evening session will include the same information. You are welcome to attend both sessions if you would like to bring your child or other family members to explore CFIS!
Q: Can my child, partner or parents attend the Open House with me?
A: Yes! Children and family members are welcome to attend the Open House.
Q: What time should I arrive at the open house?
A: The morning session will begin at 9am, and our evening session begins at 7pm. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for either session, entering through our Main Entrance. Free parking is available on the CFIS campus and on 77th Street adjacent to the school. Our address is 700 77th Street SW in Calgary.
Q: What if I can’t attend on October 25th?
A: In addition to the Explore CFIS Open House, school tours and information sessions will be held monthly between November and April. We encourage you to visit our school well in advance of the application deadlines for your child’s grade level. Visit the ‘How to Apply’ page of our website for application deadlines.
