Celebrating Francophone Culture

Celebrating Francophone Culture

On October 14th, the CFIS campus was filled with rhythm, energy, and joy as the popular francophone music group LGS took the stage for a live performance that had students dancing, singing, and celebrating together.

This special concert brought together students not only from our own community but also from West Island College (WIC) and FrancoSud schools; a meaningful gathering of francophone learners united by music and shared language.

LGS, known for their lively fusion of traditional French-Canadian folk and modern pop beats, brought a message that resonated deeply with students: that French is not only a language of learning, but also of creativity, connection, and joy.

Events like this reflect CFIS’s mission to foster multilingualism, cultural understanding, and global citizenship. In moments of music and laughter, students experience what it truly means to be connected through language and culture; a reflection of one of our core values: We connect. Nous créons des liens.

We extend our sincere thanks to LGS, WIC, and FrancoSud for joining us in this vibrant celebration of francophone culture. It was an unforgettable day of music, movement, and unity, one that perfectly captures what it means to learn and grow together at CFIS.
