Halloween in our Elementary today was spectacle of creative costumes, laughter and community.
Our Grade 1 students kicked off the day with a thrilling scavenger hunt, teamed up with their older grade buddies. Grade 2 students meanwhile swirled through a series of Halloween themed activities, including STEM and Bingo challenges. A dance party bewitched Grade 3 students as they danced and snacked away. In Grade 4, not only did a Halloween thriller occur, the vibrant festival of Diwali was learned about and celebrated, as it is also today. Taking on the role of Halloween leaders, Grade 5 students cackled and howled along with their younger buddies through trick or treating for stickers and scavenger hunts. Their leadership and enthusiasm glowed throughout the day.
Adding an extra layer of fun to the day, and the week, the Learning Commons featured a cozy corner for spooky storytelling. Students gathered to listen to eerie tales that sparked their imaginations and sent delightful shivers down their spines. Halloween in Elementary at CFIS was not just a day of fun; it was a heartwarming reminder of our school community’s spirit. Students worked together, showed kindness, and celebrated the joy of friendship.
A huge thank you to all the teachers, staff, and families who made this day so special.
